Your 2019 North Van All Stars
- Submitted by

Introducing your 2019 North Vancouver Wolf Pack All-Stars! Announced earlier this week four Wolf Pack players were named to the Tom Shaw Conference All-Stars for their success this season. The 2019 PJHL All-Star game takes place Monday, January 14th at 7:30pm at Planet Ice Maple Ridge. So, who made the cut?

#91 Justin Lee

Really no surprise here for the captain, who has already surpassed his point totals from last season with 47 through 30 games played. Racking up 17 goals and 30 assists with a 1.6 point per game average, Lee's production has also helped fuel the best powerplay in the league with 7 powerplay markers himself. Lee also has 3 game winning goals this year. This is the second year in a row that Lee has been named to the Tom Shaw Conference All-Stars

#10 Lucas Barker

Again as we move down the list of All-Stars none of these players should come as a surprise. Lucas Barker has been exceptional in his first year with the Wolf Pack, currently leading the team in goals with 20 and in points with 48 points. Barker has also been a key part of this years powerplay with 9 goals on the powerplay. Barker is yet to record a Hat Trick this year despite multiple 2 goal games but what is impressive is his consitancy, only being left of the score sheet 6 times in 34 games.

#19 Jacob Callas

Another first year player on this list is Jacob Callas who never seems to leave the ice. Callas has been a rock on the back end for the Wolf Pack, scoring 6 times and adding 25 helpers for 31 points. For a guy that seems to always be on the ice he only has eight penalty minutes in 33 games. He's also tied for second in league scoring among defencemen. Callas has been steady in his last 12 games with 14 points during that stretch.

#22 Nathan Haaksma

Like Lee, Nathan Haaksma has alread surpased his point totals for last year and in ten less games played. With 8 goals and 18 assists Haaksma has been a dangerous pairing on the second powerplay unit for the Wolf Pack. Prior to being named to the All Star team Haaksma had two rockets on the weekend at the PJHL Winter Classic vs White Rock to show off his shooting ability. Haaksma also has 9 points in his last 8 games played.

Honourable mention:

#16 Kaz Minemoto

Now this selection is completely unofficial but its hard not to see Kaz in the All Star game had he'd been healthy. With 17 goals and 17 assist in 28 games Minemoto was on a role before his injury which included a 14 game point streak between Oct. 5th and Nov. 16th. He was also a deadly selection when it came to special teams opportunities with 8 powerplay goals and 2 short handed goals. We all hope Kaz will be back and healthy as soon as possible.

Congratulations to all of this years All Star selections! Don't forget the Wold Pack are in action on Friday January 11th vs the Abbotsford Pilots as the look for some revenge. The Pack are then back at home Saturday night January 12th vs the Aldergrove Kodiaks, the teams that snapped the Wolf Packs winning streak.

Finally if you didn't see a player on this list who you think should be just wait till next week as the 2019 PJHL Prospects game rosters will be announced, where a few more Wolf Pack players are expected to be named.
