Wolf Pack Overpower Pilots With Offense, Discipline, and Strong Goaltending

Game Day

The North Vancouver Wolf Pack delivered a statement performance on Saturday night, rolling past the Abbotsford Pilots in a dominant 9–1 victory. From the opening faceoff, the Wolf Pack controlled possession, dictated the pace, and showed their offensive depth with goals spread across all three periods.

North Vancouver jumped out quickly in the first period, with Ryan Ashe opening the scoring at 5:12, assisted by Andrew Ramsden-Wood. Less than a minute later, Ty Godfrey doubled the lead with help from Gus Tucker. Ryan Tse then struck twice before the intermission, first converting a feed from Mack Souter and Braydon Suderman, and later burying another set up by Suderman and Ramsden-Wood.

The offense didn’t slow in the second period. Godfrey netted his second of the night unassisted, and Ashe followed with his second goal, this one assisted by David Puddicombe. In the third, the Wolf Pack capitalized on the power play as Souter scored back-to-back markers—first from Tse, then unassisted. Godfrey completed his hat trick late in the game, finishing off a feed from Geordie Connon and Souter to seal the 9–1 win.

Abbotsford’s lack of discipline compounded their struggles. The Pilots piled up 23 infractions totalling 91 penalty minutes, including multiple misconducts that left them shorthanded for long stretches. North Vancouver, meanwhile, went 3-for-11 with the man advantage, turning Abbotsford’s mistakes into goals that put the game out of reach.

At the other end of the ice, goaltender Marcus Taylor ensured the Pilots had little hope of a comeback. The Wolf Pack netminder turned aside 29 of 30 shots in a calm, steady performance that anchored the team’s defensive effort. His composure under pressure gave North Vancouver the confidence to press offensively without fear of being burned on the counterattack.

With the convincing win, the Wolf Pack not only added two points to the standings but also sent a message about their ability to combine firepower, discipline, and goaltending into a winning formula. If Saturday night’s performance is any indication, North Vancouver looks poised to be a force as the season moves forward.

The Wolf Pack’s next home game is against the Port Moody Panthers at 7PM on Saturday September 27, 2025, at Harry Jerome Arena.
