Wolf Pack Fall Short in 4-2 Loss to Abbotsford Pilots

ABBOTSFORD — 2025/09/12 The North Vancouver Wolf Pack opened the scoring early but couldn’t overcome a second-period surge by the Abbotsford Pilots, falling 4-2 at MSA Arena on Friday, September 12, 2025.

The Pack struck first on the power play when Tse finished at 2:55, with Souter picking up the assist. Abbotsford tied it late in the first when Thompson converted on a Pilots power play at 18:59.

Abbotsford seized control in the second period, scoring three times: Weinberger (9:38, assists Bjarnason and Savard), Siaus (14:59, assists Koch and Thompson) and Paul (15:24, assist Fedrau) turned the tie game into a 4-1 advantage.

North Vancouver showed life in the third when Souter finished a power-play chance at 11:10 (assists Tse and Weiderick) to pull the Pack within one, but Abbotsford held on the rest of the way.

Special teams and goaltending were decisive. The Wolf Pack went 2-for-7 on the power play while the Pilots were 1-for-7. Shots finished North Vancouver 10-11-13 (34), Abbotsford 8-22-7 (37). In net, Marcus Taylor stopped 33 of 37 while Dhillon made 32 saves on 34 shots for the Pilots.

The Pack will look to tighten up in the middle frame and clean up penalties as they regroup for their next game, tomorrow night at home against the Mission City Outlaws in The Den.
