PREVIEW: North Vancouver Wolf Pack vs. Delta Ice Hawks (Game #24)

Tonight, the North Vancouver Wolf Pack kick off their final full week of November by heading across town to take on the Delta Ice Hawks at the Ladner Leisure Centre for a 7:35 game, on the dot. The Pack won the first meeting of the season back in the first month of the season, September 21, by a final score of 6-1. The Pack are 10-6-0-0 against the Ice Hawks over the last five seasons and tonight’s game should be another exciting contest between these two clubs.

Big ‘Mac’

2004 born forward Dalton MacGillivray not only leads his team, but the entire PJHL too, in points so far this season. MacGillivray has seventeen goals, and twenty-one assists for a total of thirty-eight points in eighteen games. Despite being a rookie and a younger player in the PJHL, Dalton clearly has had no trouble at all when it comes to him being able to not only adapt to play in this league, but being able to succeed in the PJHL too. All eyes will be on him in tonight’s contest as the Pack hope to win another game.

Ata Way Grover!

Congratulations are in order for former Ice Hawks equipment manager Cam Groves who has now been hired as a full-time assistant equipment manager with the WHL’s Vancouver Giants! Cam was one of the nicest people anyone could ever meet and his work ethic was second to none. Cam spent just over thirteen years with the Delta Ice Hawks. A well deserved and earned job for Cam!

Pocket Rocket ‘Richard’

Max Richard scored his very first goal in the PJHL on Sunday night when his team hosted and ultimately beat the Port Moody Panthers with a final score of 7-3. Richard has three points, one goal and two assists, in the nineteen games that he has played so far this season. Richard has not quite taken after his relatives when it comes to scoring, but when he is given the chance he can be deadly.

Teddy Bear Toss Announced

The North Vancouver Wolf Pack is partnering with Family Services of the North Shore to present Teddy Bear Toss night on Saturday, December 11th. This is the 2nd ever Teddy Bear Toss game that the Wolf Pack will be hosting. Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears to the game and when the Wolf Pack score their first goal of the game, fans can throw the stuffed animals onto the ice. We’ll collect the stuffies so that the teddy bears can then be donated to the North Shore Christmas Bureau where they will be gifted to families and children to ensure that every child in our community has a smile on their face come Christmas Day.

Final Words

Tonight is the second of six meetings between North Vancouver and Delta. After the game tonight, the Pack are back in action on Saturday night when they host the Port Moody Panthers, the same team that they hosted last Saturday.
