SCOTT NAMED SECOND STAR OF 2024

Giancarlo Nadeau

It’s the sixth time a player has been named a PJHL Star of the Week in North Vancouver, and the first time their name isn’t Matthew Carniel, Rylan Oatman, or JJ Pickell!

Jason Scott, the North Vancouver native, has been with the team since the 2022-23 season and has suited up in 63 regular season and playoff games.

Scott scored three goals this past week and added two assists. The 2004-born forward had two goals in an 8-1 over Mission and added another marker in a 5-3 victory against Port Coquitlam. Of the two goals he scored against Mission, one was the game-winner. The 6-foot-3 and 190-pound player was the second star in both games.

“It feels pretty good. I was happy we were able to get six points throughout the week. It’s good to be able to contribute,” said Scott. He admitted that putting points on the board in the new year felt good. “I was pretty cold for a while, but I guess I got a hot stick again, and I was able to figure it out,” he added.

North Vancouver will visit the Grandview Steelers on Saturday, who trail the Wolf Pack by seven points in the standings. “It will be a good game. It’s always fun when we play those guys. We’ve got some friends over there and a pretty good amount of enemies, so hopefully, we’ll look to get the two points and ultimately win,” he said.

Tickets for all remaining home games can be purchased at the arena or online.
