Pickell is a PJHL Star of the Week

We’ve played four games in October, and a third player has already been named a PJHL Star of the Week from our team!

JJ Pickell has put points on the board in seven consecutive games. The left-shot forward from Calgary, AB, had a four-goal outing on Friday in Port Coquitlam and factored in on two goals on Saturday against Langley. “It’s a pretty cool thing to be recognized by the league that way,” said Pickell.

The captain is producing at just under two points a game (1.82) heading into his 100th PJHL regular season game tonight. Pickell has 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points in 11 games. He sits first in team scoring and third in the PJHL.

He is making the most of his final year in the league. “The team goal stays the same. We need to be hungry for wins and put ourselves in a good spot for the playoffs,” said Pickell.
